Springtime Walks

Usually, spring doesn’t arrive until late May here in interior Alaska, but we have had some uncommon weather.

Yesterday was 50 degrees, I could not believe it!

We are taking advantage of this fine weather, longer days and melting snow.

Nav and I got a puppy in January, her name is Ellie. Since she is a winter baby, this is the warmest she felt. It was a week of -50 below when we brought her home. She is loving the warmth!

Almost every night we go to a nearby lake and recreation site. The lake is still frozen over, so we can walk across as we watch the sun start to dip down in the most amazing sunsets.

Gotta love spring, right?
